Kourtney has been involved in synchronized swimming for 8 years. She participated in the City of Mesa Summer Recreation program for 5 years. Kourtney loves the combination of dance and swimming that Synchro provides.

At 15 years old, Kourtney was hired as a lifeguard for the City of Mesa and was made an assistant Synchro coach that summer. She spent 1 more summer as an assistant coach before becoming a head Synchro coach for city teams for the past 2 summers.

In addition, Kourtney received the City of Mesa Synchronized Swimming Coach of the Year this summer. She loves working with the swimmers and enjoys watching them grow and progress.

Kourtney is a U.S. Level 1 Judge and is working towards Level 2.

Kourtney strongly believes in the importance of hard work. She sees the limitless possibilities that come from putting forth hard work. She believes that every swimmer has the ability to succeed within the sport of Synchro if they are determined. Kourtney hopes that the swimmers walk away from practices not only improving within the sport, but with life lessons that can be used as they go out into the world.
