Arizona Desert Dolphins Developmental Coach Christine McMaster

Christine has been involved with synchronized swimming for 15 years, starting with the City of Mesa Parks & Rec Summer Program at 7-years-old. She began her year-round competitive career at age 12 and continued until she was 18. Christine competed at the Age Group, Junior National, and Senior National levels. Some of her accomplishments include being a finalist in her solo at the Senior US Opens in 2004, earning a Silver Medal in her duet at Age Group Nationals in 2004, as well as winning a Team Championship at Age Group Nationals in 2003.

Christine has been coaching since 2004. Before joining the Arizona Desert Dolphins in 2006, Christine coached the 13 and under Arizona Aqua Stars and helped coach girls of all ages from the Arizona Desert Gems. Christine is also a USA Synchronized Swimming Level 3 judge and currently working on her Level 4.

Christine's coaching philosophy is to motivate and help her swimmers to achieve their goals, not only in Synchro but in life. She believes that Synchro can help her swimmers build the skills to succeed in whatever they choose to do.

Christine attends Arizona State University. She is pursuing concurrent BA degrees in History and Political Science as well as a Certificate of Islamic Studies.
